M. Taylor Hammett

Taylor Hammett is a Sacramento native and an associate attorney at Wilcoxen Callaham LLP, representing clients in personal injury, medical malpractice, and wrongful death matters.

Taylor’s introduction to civil litigation began during his undergraduate studies at California State University, Sacramento, where he interned at Dreyer Babich Buccola Wood Campora LLP. There, he assisted in preparing demand packages for catastrophic loss claims related to the 2015 Butte Fire. He was named to the Dean’s Honor List for five semesters before earning his degree in Political Science.

Taylor earned his Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he was named to the Dean’s Honor List in his first year. Following his first year, he joined Wilcoxen Callaham in the summer of 2022 and has worked continuously with the firm ever since, gaining hands-on experience in a wide range of cases, including auto accidents, dog bites, premises liability, and complex medical malpractice actions. He has also worked extensively on Fire Victim Trust claims arising from the 2018 Camp Fire.

Taylor is a member of Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), Capitol City Trial Lawyers Association (CCTLA) and the State Bar of California.

Outside the office, he enjoys training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and playing basketball.
